Firm Founder + CPA
Al-Nesha founded ASE Group in 2016 as a support system for small businesses to thrive. She transformed over 15 years of experience in accounting, audit, and financial reporting, to create a firm where clients receive accounting + tax support they can count on, and both clients + team members get back time to operate in their genius zone, and intentionally focus on the ‘nouns’ that bring them joy. She holds an MBA, and a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in both accounting and marketing, both from Montclair State University (Go, Red Hawks!).
Al-Nesha was recognized as one of America's Top 200 CPAs on Forbes' inaugural list, a 2023 Top 100 ProAdvisor (QuickBooks Online), one of 2023's Top 50 Women In Accounting, a 2022 NJCPA Ovation Award Winner for her Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, and as a 2021 CPA Practice Advisor "40 Under 40" Professional. She is also a member of Intuit's Trainer Writer Network, a participant in the ProConnect Customer Council for Intuit Inc, 2021 - 2024, a QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified ProAdvisor, a Gusto certified People Advisor, and a CHIP Professional Advisory Board member (CHIP is bridging the gap between consumers of financial products and financial professional of color). She also serves as a mentor at her alma mater and was an instructor at a local community college.
She is frequently invited to speak at national conferences, events, and webinars with organizations like Intuit, US Chamber of Commerce Strategy Studio, and T-Mobile Magenta Edge. She also regularly authors and contributes to articles published with Intuit, NerdWallet, AP News, and more.
Prior to founding ASE Group, Al-Nesha worked at Prudential, and Ernst & Young.
Fun Fact:
I've kept a daily gratitude journal since 2013... it keeps me grounded.
Outside of Work, I Enjoy:
Kickboxing class, leisurely walks while audiobook-ing, solving escape rooms with my children, listening to (loud) music, and laughing as often as possible.
My Goal at ASE:
To increase the number of strong and sustainable businesses, especially in marginalized communities. To create a thriving workplace where people love what they do, are rewarded for their efficiency, and have true work-life balance so they can prioritize what matters most to them.
